Cougars Medal in Discus and Shot Put at Walter Dix Relays

On Saturday, February 16th, our track and field athletes competed at the Walter Dix Relays at Coral Springs High School in Coral Springs, Florida.

Our field athletes performed phenomenally, medaling in discus and shot put.

For the girl’s discus event, Cara Salsberry and Kassidy Rubin competed together and took first place. Salsberry threw 40.00 meters, and Rubin threw 14.35 meters. Salsberry and Rubin also competed in girl’s shot put. Together, they took second place; Salsberry threw 10.25 meters, and Rubin threw 6.46 meters.

For the boy’s discus event, Jobed Phanord and Tre’main Robinson took third place. As for shot put, Jobed Phanord and Giordani Point Du Jour placed third. Phanord threw 12.70 meters, and Point Du Jour threw 12.33 meters.

While our track athletes had done well in their events, none of them placed.
