In the aftermath from both Hurricane Irma and Maria in the Florida Keys and Puerto Rico, the Key Club decided to step in and help out. A hurricane relief drive was organized in order to donate supplies for those in need during this time.

For those students who would like to donate, Somerset urges you to bring in supplies. Various teacher have offered to drive these supplies to The DeVosta Blum YMCA and the Greenacre Community Center, in order for them to be delivered to the Florida Keys and Puerto Rico.

With the help from our school and others like it, those suffering in the wake of these natural disasters can slowly but surely rebuild what they once had. Tara Miller, the Key Club adviser said, “I am sincerely impressed with the generosity of our community and the hard work that the students have been putting in for this drive.”
