This past Sunday, Somerset Canyons held its very own benefit to raise money for the Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation Multiple Sclerosis Service Dog Program, which supplies service dogs, free of charge, to those in need.

According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, “Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.”

The charity event provided the opportunity for those of all ages to donate, and approximately $750 in funds for the foundation were raised – which will all eventually go into training the animals.

Throughout the event, attendants participated in raffles, as well as eating at foods trucks which were accompanied by performances from Mr. Feierstein’s band, 3sixty. A performance by teacher Mrs. Horsley took place alongside the band, along with various songs from 14-year-old SAC student Rachel Feierstein.

“The benefit was a great opportunity to let people know and participate in helping someone in need of a service dog,” stated Rachel Feierstein.

8th Grade Student Rachel Feierstein belted out a few songs with the band.
3Sixty could be heard around the entire event.
The entire event was family friendly.
