Gianna Rebour, Spanish Club Representative

The Spanish Club hosted the Spanish Immersion on September 23, 2017.

This event was an opportunity for Spanish Club members and their family and friends to be immersed in the Spanish culture through interactive activities, foods and music.

The members and other attendees were able to learn Spanish through interactive activities such as hangman, charades, mix and match and bingo which were constructed to help teach attendees the Spanish language and encourage them to speak in Spanish.

After fun times and laughter with family and friends, the Spanish Club provided a variety of Spanish foods that attendees could try. From treats, to deserts, to snacks, the Spanish club gave attendees the opportunity to immerse in the Spanish culture through delicious foods.

Throughout the event, the Spanish culture was enhanced through the playing of Spanish music from all parts of the world. The Spanish Club’s advisor, Mrs. Izquierdo, also taught attendees how to dance to Spanish Salsa music.

This fun-filled event was an amazing opportunity for everyone who attended to be immersed into the Spanish culture.

In addition to fun events, the Spanish Club members are going to offer help in Spanish starting next week they will have a table during lunch time and the students can come to the table and receive help in homework or an explanation for something that they do not understand.
