The Swim Team Jumped into the Season with a Splash
The Somerset Swim team had an astonishing start to the year. In a meet against Santaluces on September 20, the girls won their dual meet, 77-54. With only two swimmers, the boys lost 32-22 but still made it out with a breathtaking finish.
Starting off the season, they had a great first meet against King’s Academy and Jupiter Christian, setting a total of six new school records.
All of the swimmers did a phenomenal job at the swim meet. Some of the swimmers to break the school records were Emily Rosa for the 500 free style and 100 breast stroke, Elena Papadopulas for the 100 back stroke, Julian Balbi for the 500 free style and 200 IM and all of the girls in the 200 free style relay. The relay team is composed of Emily Rosa, Anna Rosa, Elena Papadopulas, and Natalie Lopez.
