Sophie Ginsburg Wins 1st in International HOSA Competition this Summer
September 25, 2017
Students at Somerset Academy Canyons are second to none. This summer, Sophie Ginsburg competed at the international HOSA competition, winning first place in Interviewing Skills; she is the only student in the state of Florida that won this prestigious award. Sophie has been a member of Somerset’s HOSA club for 3 years, representing our school as a voting delegate and competing in several competitions, such as Pharmacy and Interviewing Skills. In addition to her HOSA success, Sophie holds a leadership role in our SNHS and plays a wicked game of tennis. Outside of school, she and her family participate at the Special Olympics and help raise awareness for the Parkinson’s Foundation. Sophie is an outstanding student in the classroom as well, taking AP courses, Cambridge classes, and participating in the Medical Academy. Those who know her are excited and privileged to call Sophie a friend and fellow cougar.
Congratulations Sophie Ginsburg, you’re truly one of Somerset’s finest, and without a doubt second to none. Mrs. Berry said, “You will always be a shining star, never let your flame burn out.”
