The staff vs. seniors basketball game took place yesterday on March 14th, 2023. The game started at 1:30 pm and ended at 2:40 pm. Sixteen school officials went up against twenty seniors. “It was very fun, exciting and competitive,” said Mr. Holmes, the Somerset Journalism teacher.

As seniors are soon graduating, teachers are reminiscing on the good times they have had with the 2023 graduating class. “I will miss my relationship with Rodo and Josh, I feel like since I’ve met them, I’ve had an impact on them, and I hope that my influence lasts beyond this year,” said Holmes.

All seniors were able to attend the game and cheer on their fellow classmates. “The beginning of it was interesting, there was a lot of energy in the first half of the game, then the energy declined throughout the course of the game,” said 12th grader, Mason Jones.

Seniors are enjoying the activities that are exclusively for them, and are looking forward to things such as grad bash and prom, and their graduation. “It’s good knowing it’s my last year of school,” said Jones.

The seniors had the game all while taking part in spirit week. On Monday, seniors were able to dress in their pajamas. On Tuesday, they were able to dress as soccer moms and barbecue dads. On Wednesday, seniors were able to dress as senior citizens. Thursday wrapped up spirit week, seniors had field day and wore the color of their designated teams, then the class of 2023 and the rest of the students will go on and enjoy spring break.
