Current restrictions have not stopped our honor societies from fulfilling their duties! Both the Somerset Academy Canyons National Honor Society(NHS) and the Somerset Academy Canyons National English Honor Society(NEHS) will be hosting donation drives during the month of February. 

On February 22, 2021, NHS officers and club members will be collecting non- perishable items in the breezeway. Accepted items include canned goods, toothpaste, Ramen noodles, large male shirts, shampoo, size 12 men’s shoes, and more. The food drive will take place between 4:00- 5:30 p.m. These products will be sent to the local soup kitchen located near the Caridad Center of Boynton Beach. Please demonstrate your community support and participate in this event!

NEHS will be accepting new/lightly used elementary to high school level books up until Friday, February 26. These books will be donated to our sister schools, SLAM Palm Beach Middle/ High School and Somerset Lakes Elementary. “We hope all students will participate in spreading our love for reading and English here at Somerset!”, said Vice President of NEHS Sarika Schwartz. These donations can be brought to the main office or dropped off in students’ English classroom.
