The 92nd Academy Awards are over. The results are in for the winners of every category, including: Best Animated Film, Leading Actor and Actress, Supporting Actor and Actress, Director, Picture and many more. In fact, Parasite made history that night as the fist foriegn film to win the award for Best Motion Picture.

The award for Best Animated Feature went to Toy Story 4. Best Cinematography went to Roger Deakins’ work on 1917. Best Supporting Actor went to Brad Pitt in Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood, while the Best Supporting Actress was dubbed Laura Dern from Marriage Story. Joaquin Phoenix took home the award for the Best Actor in a Lead Role for his performance in Joker, with Renee Zellweger winning the Best Lead Actress award from her performance in Judy. The award for Best Director went to Bong Joon Ho for his work on Parasite. Parasite won the most awards with a total of four followed by 1917 winning three awards

Additionally, Parasite has the honor of winning the award for the Best Motion Picture. This made history, as no other foreign film has been able to do so in the past. It is also impressive that it won against the fierce competition it faced this year. 1917, Joker, Ford V Ferrari and Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood were all films that many had predicted to win.
