On Friday, May 3rd, a few of our field athletes competed at the FHSAA Track and Field Championships in Jacksonville at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium.

Though there were about five hours of rain and lightning delays, our throwers still gave it their all as the weather persisted.

Despite the rain pouring as she threw, sophomore Cara Salsberry threw 129 feet and 11 inches in girls discus, securing her the third place spot and bronze medal.

In a close competition for boys discus, Jobed Phanord placed 16th with a throw of 135 feet and 4 inches, and Tremain Robinson took 17th place with a throw of 135 feet and 2 inches.
