Our robotics team stands proudly behind their creation.

On Saturday, February 9th, our robotics team competed in the VEX High School Robotics Tournament at James S. Rickards Middle School in Oakland Park, Florida. They took 8th place out of 24 teams!

The team was composed of three students – Omar Hammad, Joseph De Martini Jr., and Christopher Disisto – and was supervised by the club sponsor, Mr. De Martini.

When our team first arrived to the competition, they discovered their robot was too big. They had an hour to fix their creation, and luckily they were able to finish scaling it down just before the hour ended.

Our team won the first and second rounds, lost the third round, won the fourth round, and – finally – lost the fifth round.

The team also received an honorable mention for their design.
