Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th through October 15th throughout schools in the United States. This month is set aside to remember and recognize the contributions of Hispanic individuals throughout history.

During this time, students at Somerset Canyons celebrate the culture of Spanish speaking countries, participating by learning about each country’s culture and by eating foods typically made there.

The Spanish teachers competed by decorating their doors with pop culture references. Mrs. Oquendo, the Foreign Language Department Chair, said “The doors made it fun and motivates students.”
