Selected students from Somerset competed in the 56th Annual Middle School Mathematics Tournament (MSTM) at Royal Palm Beach High School last Tuesday, February 6th.

The chosen students from the middle school would then go on to taking multiple tests at the event, which they all had approximately 40 minutes to complete. Once the total scores of those test were averaged per school and grade, the winners were announced.

Although unsuccessful at winning any trophies, Somerset students put in a great effort throughout the event and took away a valuable experience.

Eighth grade participant Emaad Mirza stated , “I think it was a cool experience, and I’m looking forward to participating in another similar competition.”
