Canyons’ HOSA Performs Remarkably At Regional Competition

Yesterday, February 9th, our HOSA club members competed in a regional competition. Many schools from all around the region came to compete, and our school proved that we put up a tough fight.

Those who achieved first place in their events are Enya Clancy and Alexandra Garroway (Health Career Display), Emma Carter (Medical Reading), Max Rosen (Medical Law & Ethics) Alyssa Hansen, Sonaly Chery, Hannah Brown (Public Service Announcement), Isabelle Aliacin (Medical Spelling), Natalia Acosta (Medical Terminology), Jake Murdoch (Dental Science), and Sophie Ginsburg (Prepared Speaking).

When asked how she felt about the experience, Alexandra Garroway replied, “It was a great feeling to know that all of our hard work had paid off! I’m so proud of myself and Enya for putting together an amazing project and our HOSA chapter for having a great year!”

Those who reached second place in their events are Stephanie Wise and Olivia Delisa (Public Health Awareness), Danielle Camera and Kaitlyn Bopp (Forensics), Jasmin Collins (Pharmacy Science), Ahmed Hussein (Clinical Nursing), Andrea Norriega (Clinical Specialties), Ryan Hussey (Dental Science), and Sapir Friedman (Research Persuasive Skills).

Both Kaylie Wade (Human Growth & Development) and Wes St. Fleur (Dental Science) placed third.

Those who placed fourth include Skyler and Max Granat (EMT), Amanda Brennan (Pharmacy Science), Adam Spieser, Nour Itayem, Kassidy Rubin, and Tia Deeb (HOSA Bowl).

When asked about her experience, Kassidy Rubin said, “HOSA Regionals was such an amazing experience and I’m so proud and happy for all the HOSA members who competed. Everyone did fantastic and I’m super excited for next year!”

Elvis and Anne Charles (Forensics), Anne Christie Desrossiers, Karen Fakhran, Natalie Sosa, and Isabelle Miolla (Community Awareness) all made it to fifth place.
