Classy or Trashy?

Some of our Somerset News Crew dressed up for homecoming.

High School Homecoming was held on December 9, 2017 in the new school gym where the dresses and outfits were questionable to some.

Morgan Goldstein, president of the senior class student government (SGA), was one of the people that were in charge of the homecoming. Student government was in charge of creating a theme and date of when and what the homecoming was going to be about.

“I felt that they [the dresses] went along with the [club] theme but they were provocative,” said Morgan. “But that’s just the normal style now a day,” she also adds.

Lisa Santiago, the middle school assistant principal, was there chaperoning, along with the principal, the high school assistant principle, and other teachers and staff.

“The dresses were pretty good this year,” said Santiago, “as they weren’t too revealing.”

Misha Dilmaghani, a senior, was excited to go because it is her last year that she will be attending a high school homecoming.

“They dressed appropriately and dressed to have a good time,” she said.

Although the dresses were similar to last year’s choices, staff and students felt the theme of the dance could have presented an unnecessary issue if the students dressed in modern club wear.
