The Lady Cougars smile in the glow of another win.

On December 14, 2017, the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team beat Inlet Grove, with a victory score of 2-0.

“We won,” mentioned one of the varsity captains, Maria Warden. “Taylor Rynzeck and I scored.”

The ladies’ varsity Cougars have started their season off strong. They have mostly winning and tied games against hard-to-beat schools.

The girls are now working hard to win districts with the help of their two coaches, coach Symonds and coach Scott. Both have coached the female soccer team for three seasons now.

Their three captains, Alyssa Ach, Kayli Wade, and Maria Warden, are now playing their last year at Somerset Canyons. The coaches have mixed feelings as they see the seniors finish out the season.

“It’s been a good season,” said Coach Scott. “It’s sad to see them leave, but I’m glad they helped build this winning team.”

The girls go in for another goal in last week’s game against Atlantic Christian.
